ABOUT CHUNGDAHM

students and programs

The CHUNGDAHM student body represents Korea???highest achieving students. CHUNGDAHM requires all prospective students to take the TOEFL Exam (Test of English as a Foreign Language) to matriculate, where students must achieve minimum target scores to gain admission. This ensures that each student is placed in the course level that accurately matches their English proficiency. Since their linguistic and intellectual aptitude is high, we are able to challenge them in listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Since all students have a minimum level of oral and written communication skills, the use of Korean is prohibited in classrooms.

The grade levels of CHUNGDAHM students range from elementary through high school with the majority of students coming from middle school. There are no kindergarten students. Students typically have lessons twice a week from one or two instructors throughout a course of study, typically lasting from one to eight academic terms. Each term is three months long.
